Being in a sorority can be a very confusing process, but thats what bigs are for! A big is an older sister who takes a new pledge under their wing, and helps them navigate through the new experience. I could not be more grateful for my own big, Jacqueline. I always felt out of place in a room of 150 college girls. It can be really hard to find people who fit your same dispositon, or to go out of your comfort zone.
Jackie had made it a MISSION to become my best friend... this girl would not leave me alone. Every event, social, meeting, party, whatever - jackie was there to make sure I always felt included. The moments came naturally: coffee runs, screaming the wrong lyrics in the car, vacationing together, etc. I never thought that I would make such close and long-lasting friendships in college the way I had in high school, but I've never been more happy to be wrong.
